This directory (https://s3.openkim.org/archives/collection) contains
the latest and previous snapshot archives of the openkim.org collection
of Portable Models (Model Drivers and Models) and Simulator Models.  The
archives contain source code for the corresponding items.

These snapshot release archives are primarily used by the OpenKIM project
as the source code archive for binary packages distributed on various 
platforms (macOS Homebrew, Fedora, Ubuntu, Conda, etc.).

The most recent snapshot release is the one with the most recent date in
the archive file name (which will occur last in an ASCII sort of the
archives listing).

Release tarballs are signed with Ryan S. Elliott's <relliott@umn.edu>
public key (https://z.umn.edu/relliott_asc [76D4997C4D51D92]).
To verify a release tarball, first download the public key and import it:

  $ gpg --import relliott.asc

After downloading the tarball and signature, run:

  $ gpg --verify openkim-models-YYYY-MM-DD.txz.asc openkim-models-YYYY-MM-DD.txz

where YYYY-MM-DD should be replaced with the actual date of interest.
